
The Israeli occupation forces Friday stepped up its movements at the borders with Lebanon deploying six tanks at the occupied Palestinian side of the Wazzani River citadel, media reports said.
According to the reports, an Israeli patrol was deployed around the Southern village of Al Ghajar, as two tanks approached the Eastern side of the town to monitor the Wazzani. Along with the Israeli tanks, which reportedly stayed behind the Blue Line border marks for about two hours, were accompanied with Israeli movements at the Hammari location and warplane over-flights above the village of Bint Jbeil.On its part the UNIFIL stepped up its security measures in the area and intensified its patrols. Patrols of the Spanish contingent at the peacekeeping mission roamed the road linking Rachayya village and Souk el Khan.
